Sleepover

This Friday evening we shall be camping out at PGL, everyone needs to bring what is on the kit list, along with a roll mat.

It's Friday. Not Thursday!

Yes this week remember that we are doing the Sabrina Boat trip and we will be doing this on Friday and NOT Thursday.

Cowboys and Indians

This Thursday we are doing out fancy dress up as cowboys (or girl) and Indians, and remember, cowboys had guns... (water pistols to us). See you all then.

Parents: please do NOT forget the sleep over consent forms etc. Thank you.

Fitness

We'll be dong some fitness on Thursday towards our fitness badge.

Mini Olympics

Tonight we'll be doing our indoor Olympics to get us all in the spirit for Team GB!

Bit of an update

There is an error on the programme.  Beavers is this Thursday, meet at 6pm at Gwilt's Garage (Newtown Garage) on the main road in Baschurch, we will walk around the reservoir and back, all welcome.  NO beavers on 7 June.

We have only had two gift aid forms returned, please can you complete and return to me, it's an easy way for us to build up some funds.

Lastly, just a couple of you haven't let me know whether you wish to come on the boat trip, please let me know I have to let Sabrina Boat know final numbers

Sabrina Boast details

PARENT INVITATION TO JOIN US

 

We have booked to take the beavers for a trip on the Sabrina Boat in Shrewsbury on Friday, 13 July 5.30-6.30 (sailing time - so we need to arrive a little earlier).

 

We have booked a disco and a light tea for the children (all covered from subs).   

The boat has the capacity to hold 60 people - as a beaver group, we would take up about 30 spaces and wondered whether any parents would like to join us as we will have extra 30 spaces.    This would cost £5 per adult.

 

If you would like to attend, can you please let me know by return e-mail so that I can confirm final numbers with Sabrina boat by next Friday (25th).

Earining our wings!

This week we'll be doing out flight badge, hopefully all the Beavers know which aircraft they are learning about ready for there flight badge!

Welcome!

On the 10th we'd like the welcome our new Beavers to the group and enjoy some (hopefully) outdoor games.

For the Beavers who have just left, There are picture available to view under 'beavers photo's' in the Picasa Web Albums.

That time of year

This Thursday we'll be saying "Good bye" to some of our Beavers as they will have to 'cross the river' into Cubs, so ALL Beavers need to bring there water guns to soak all the Beavers moving upto Cubs.

From everyone, we do hope that the Beavers who are moving up have a fabulous time at Cubs (even though Beavers is better!) and we'll miss you all.

Young leaders night

on Thursday we have Pippa and Matt running there 'surprises' night for Beavers so we'll have to wait and see.

I have managed to get a temporary programme up, hopefully a better quality one will be published shortly.

Princess, princes and dragons

On the 19th we have a fancy dress night, and as you guessed, as: princess, princes and dragons. We are normal time (6.00pm - 7.00) at PGL.


Unfortunately due to Blogger admin control changing, i'm struggling to put the new April - July programme up, although this should be sorted ASAP. Sorry for inconveniences.

The hunt

Yes this week we're on a hunt... Not for animals, but for Easter eggs! Same time same place on Thursday.

Mothers day!

As we all remember it is mothers day on the 18th, so this Thursday we shall be doing some crafts and baking. So clean hands.

church and badges

This week we'll be at Baschurch, All Saints church with Rev Jules giving us a special tour of the church and a few activities to do with the church. We shall be running normal time.

It's Friday, not Thursday!

This week beavers shall be on the Friday (2nd of March) Please arrive at the hut at normal time. We will be presenting Hazel with a leaving gift, between 6:15 and 6:30 along with cubs and scouts. At 6:30 we will undertake a mini hike at PGL, pick up shall be at the hut, 7pm. Please wrap up warm and bring torches.

Young leaders

Tomorrow night shall be a surprise by the two young leaders (Pippa and Matt)

Hello America!

For our friendship badge this week, Matt and Pippa will help the Beavers write there very own letter to America so we can all earn and be awarded our friendship badge, and go towards our global badge.

Bowling

This Thursday we shall be meeting at OSWESTRY Venue bowling ally. All beavered MUST know there shoe size. Please arrive by 5:15, parents are welcome to stay.

Going Up Ceremony

Well once again it's time for some Beavers to cross the 'river' into Cubs.
PGL will be cold this week so please do wrap your beaver(s) up warm and waterproof coats. Let's not forget the fun part, that water pistols!


Please do not forget that we need subs by this week (£30.00 in an envelope with child's name on the front); but not for those leaving or the new children joining.

Please do remember that there is no Beavers this week on Thursday, we are running on Saturday. Please check the programme.
